Okay, just to be sure, I tried the new Southern Style Chicken Sandwich TWICE while in Minneapolis -- once for breakfast on a biscuit, and once again for dinner.
I'm still not feelin' it. Maybe my expectations are too high.
I want gravy. Next time I'll bring my own. Maybe that'll help.
I have not dug the Southern sammich either. Southern to me means spicy, and that's what I was expecting. Not a bland, wet, slap in the face.
ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to be like a Chick-Fil-A sammich. Man alive, those are good! And they're all over the South; so McD's is trying to compete with them with a "minimalist" chicken sandwich.
ReplyDeleteI'm with (Good Golly Miss) Molly P....Chick-Fil-A sandwiches rule...and their breakfast menu is awesome, too.
ReplyDeleteNone too impressed w/ McD's pale imitation.
MMM. this sandwich is good. I'm eating it now. Needs gravy. Still, Yum. perfect ethnic food from my favorite Irish restaurant.
ReplyDeleteJon, next time I see you. I am gonna make you a real Southern Style Chicken Sammie. WITH GRAVY!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin's gonna make country breakfast with us when we're Down South next month. Mmmm, can't wait!
ReplyDeletenothing will ever beat a bolgna and cheese sandwich with doritos in it. yummmm.
